Scams are everywhere: the phone calls, texts, emails, fake employers, robotic voices, and people we don’t know. The FBI says cases involving older people are on the rise. In 2021, there were 92,371 older victims of fraud- leading to $1.7 billion in losses; a 74% increase from 2020. We are collaborating with Easthampton Fire Department on their Breathe Easy: Home Oxygen Fire Safety Campaign.

This safety initiative requires the Fire Department (FD) to have a current and accurate list of names and addresses of Easthampton’s residents who require home oxygen therapy. In case of a power outage, the list we provide will allow the FD to check on these individuals and go to their home.

Help us spread the word about this campaign.

If you know any senior who requires home oxygen therapy, please encourage them to call Easthampton Neighbors at 413.225.1338 and leave a message with their name and address.

This collaboration is very important for the safety of all residents in our community.

Your neighbors and the Fire Department thank you for your help.

Warmest Regards,
Jodi Ross, Administrator/Coordinator
Easthampton Neighbors
